The Dual-Fuel Electric+ (DFE+) propulsion system, developed by ABB and Everllence, combines the 49/60DF engine with ABB’s Dynamic AC power distribution and control system. It extends the lifespan of assets in line with evolving IMO emissions regulations and also enhances the operational flexibility of LNG carriers. Its versatile propulsion configurations allow for increased payload capacity, leading to significant reductions in carbon emissions and lower fuel costs.
