Dimensions of Sustainability
At Everllence, we have comprehensively analyzed the impact of our actions on the environment and society, as well as the importance of sustainability for our corporate success. From this, we have derived three strategic priorities that guide our actions: decarbonization , nature, and people & society. These dimensions reflect our responsibility as a company—today and in the future.
Decarbonization
Our decarbonization technologies, which we consider as “Sustainable Business”, comprise solutions and services that help our customers reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency, and support the transition to a lower-emission economy.
In the maritime sector, our dual-fuel engines enable the use of alternative fuels such as ammonia and methanol. When these fuels are produced from renewable sources (e.g. renewable hydrogen and biogenic or captured CO₂), they can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions over the fuel's life cycle compared with fossil fuels. The actual reduction depends on how the fuel is produced and on the engine's operating conditions.
We develop targeted CO₂ reduction solutions for energy-intensive industries, including heat pumps and carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS). Sustainability criteria are part of our product development process. We use them to improve efficiency and reduce the climate and environmental impact of our products over their life cycle compared to fossil fuels. Digital solutions also optimize the operational performance of our technologies.
Nature
By 2025, we have more than halved tour CO₂ emissions (Scope 1 and 2) of our production sites compared with 2018. Our measures include site modernization, expansion of our own photovoltaic generation and the purchase of electricity from renewable sources. We continue these efforts. However, our understanding of sustainability goes beyond CO₂ reduction: We are optimizing our use of resources in production, improving our waste and recycling management, and focusing on durable, easy-to maintain products. Everllence PrimeServ supports customers in extending the operating life of their systems and in operating them efficiently.
We systematically integrate the protection of biodiversity into our environmental management. We analyze biodiversity risks at our sites and implement measures for
ecological enhancement. In our product development, we assess selected environmental impacts of our products during operation, such as CO2 and exhaust emissions or underwater noise.
People & Society
As an employer, we focus on the systematic development of our employees. Continuous learning is supported by targeted programs that address technical and interdisciplinary skills in equal measure. We promote diversity and equal treatment. Flexible working environments are making it increasingly possible for employees to maintain a balance between operational requirements and individual needs.
We promote health and safety in the workplace through systematic management. Company operations with no accidents at work, is our guiding principle for continuous improvement.
We are gradually implementing higher sustainability standards in the supply chain. Suppliers are evaluated on the basis of defined criteria that are regularly reviewed. We have implemented a due diligence system in accordance with the German Supply Chain Act. The goal is to prevent
violations, detect them early, and respond appropriatel.
Our social commitment focuses on promoting education and social as well as environmental projects at our sites. We combine local initiatives with overarching programs. We invest in young talent in technical professions through strategic partnerships with educational institutions.
