Our customer, a steel mill operator, chose Everllence Primeserv for a full-service planned maintenance of their plant. The on-site PrimeServ team expertly re-engineered and repaired two trains composed of steam turbines and axial compressors, overcoming the logistical challenges caused by the equipment’s scale. The turnaround also included a control panel and electric system upgrade as well as modernizing the filter house and other peripherals.

A major turnaround with no sub-contracting for the entire scope of work? No problem for the experienced team at Everllence Primeserv. As project manager, we were tasked with the overhaul of a MAN steam turbine (99MW) as well as inspection of a multitude of third-party generators and auxiliaries. And we could draw on the experience and expertise of more than 50 of our own PrimeServ field service engineers who worked on the project.

Our field service engineers performed a major overhaul of 13 casings across three separate trains including refrigeration units and air and synth trains to a very demanding schedule. Adherence to COVID-19 restrictions and the range of equipment made by various OEMs added to the complexity of the turnaround.
