The business unit PrimeServ Marine and Power is responsible for the entire aftersales business in Hong Kong from the bidding to the execution phase and later on the service and maintenance.
Within the PrimeServ segment for Marine the four stroke engine plays a vital role for this segment and it is used in many applications from power plants, to propulsion and as generators. It does so as it is a versatile component in size and power output.
In PrimeServ Hong Kong we are looking for engineers that can service this area in particular. Below are more details on what we are looking for and what we can offer.
We can offer you the following tasks
- Provide technical service installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, overhauls and modernization for engines and turbochargers manufactured by the company and affiliated companies on seagoing vessels and power plants.
- Provide technical advice; provide training and service program information including follow-up to previously visited vessels as well as engine related support to our customers.
- Directs and supervises work performed by outside contractors repairing the company’s engines.
- Assists workshops in technical matters as required, assists in the collection of receivables, establishes and maintains good business relations and communication with all customers.
- Innovates and develops products.
You can help us with these qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, preferred marine or mechanical engineering. Or relevant education and training to meet the job requirements
- Four or more years related experience. Or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
- Deep knowledge of 2-stroke, ME/ME-B Engines and Control Systems.
- Sound knowledge of 4-stroke engines and possibly turbochargers and propellers.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and electronic.
- Team player; able to maintain good relations with colleagues and customers.
- Experienced in working independently.
- Experienced and able to handle intensive traveling via car, train, plane, launch boat, and in extreme cases on helicopter on short notice.
- Willing to work under ISO standards and have a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Understand and practice safe working methods.

We can offer you the following tasks
The Technical Consultant will support the Hong Kong Technical Service team as a consultant to the commercial and technical services related to Hong Kong and a field service superintendent engineer for technical jobs; specifically relating to the 2-stroke Electronic Controlled Marine Diesel Engines.
- Provide real time support on technical issues and services while rotating with other superintendent engineers at client’s office.
- Independently organize the commercial development of activities related to the technical service department including regular reporting in writing to the management of all activities, commercial and technical issues.
- Prepare, delegate and instruct on all ongoing site activities. Cost and claims calculation for Field Service projects.
- Check if there are adequately qualified field service personal available in the selected region and ensure the regional field service personal are trained / qualified for the assignments in the region
- Calculation and issuing of quotations for Service, troubleshooting, new installation and commissioning.
- Provide technical service installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, overhauls and modernization for engines and turbochargers manufactured by the company and affiliated companies on seagoing vessels and power plants.

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical certificates
- 10+ years of work experience
- Being familiar with Everllence large 2-stroke electronic controlled marine diesel engines
- Experience in reading drawings, technical documents, instructions, sketches/explanation of details and cross sectional drawings
- Good communication skills and is fluent in English in conversation with clients, subcontractors and staff at site.
- Experienced in writing technical reports in English

Position:
Low Speed Engine Operation (EEEO) Superintendent Engineer is speicalised in managing complex marine two stroke diesel/gas engines operation, supervision and troubleshooting and engines performance optimisation during service.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and execution of inspection and supervision at ports in the APAC region – mainly in Asia but can be worldwide.
- Technical support or actual commissioning to the test bed trials, shipyards sea trials, and prototype tests as well as guarantee claims.
- Follow up on newly designed component on the latest engines in service.
Coordination technical cases between customers and Everllence Headquarter in Copenhagen. - Meetings with ship owners and sub-suppliers and creating minutes of meeting for documentation and follow-up purpose.
- Collaboration with Design and R&D department in Everllenve Headquarter Copenhagen.
Reporting events and work status - This position requires to go on domestic/overseas business trips
Act as back up for Operation colleagues during peak periods and holidays
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
- Detailed understanding of Diesel and Gas engine applications including maintenance, operation and control systems.
- Tier 3 experience is preferred but not mandatory. Necessary training and education is provided.
- Technical knowledge of Diesel engine auxiliaries and electric equipment.
- Approx. 8-13 years of professional experience in filed service, commissioning or engine operation preferably at engine manufacturers, shipyards and ship owners.
- Strong communication skills // Written and oral commend of English is required
- Personal credibility
