Everllence Japan is currently searching for a Service Engineers / Mechanics responsible for the repair, installation, adjustment or maintaining diesel engine equipment including two stroke engines, four stroke engines, turbochargers, fuel injection valves and associated equipment. Working with best engineering practice, this position will see you responsible for:
Job Responsibilities:
- Trouble shooting and pinpointing of mechanical and electronic failures of 2-Stroke, 4 stoke engines and turbochargers
- Execute overhauls, maintenance works and repair work
- Organize, lead and manage work teams and related activities before and during work execution
- Interact with the customers during the work execution and offer best solutions
- Prepare lists of required work materials, spare parts and tools for each job. Assist with and/or prepare quotations and preparation of invoice and documentation
- Provide internal and external service work reports including conclusions/recommendations and documentation on executed work
- Advise customers concerning operation and maintenance of 2-Stroke, 4 stoke engines and turbochargers
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor/master in ship operation technology, marine engineer or similar

- Ability to travel within Japan and east Asia as required
- English language skills required, Japanese as a strong plus

We are looking for a person with extensive sales experience, preferably from within the marine industry combined with a strong technical background. The candidate could be Marine engineer, mechanical engineer or similar
You are proactive, self-driven and have a structured and quality-oriented approach to your assignments. Everllence Japan is currently searching for a Low Speed 2-Stroke Engine Operational Superintendent Engineer responsible for supporting complex Two Stroke diesel/Dual Fuel marine engines.
Job scope includes operation, supervision and troubleshooting during assembly/shop trial, sea/gas trials, and engine performance optimisation. Further, participation in R&D tests is expected as well.
We can offer you the following tasks:
- Preparation and execution of inspection and supervision at the licensees and shipyards in Japan and overseas – mainly in Asia but can be worldwide.
- Technical support or actual commissioning of engines during test bed trials, shipyards sea trials, and prototype tests as well as guarantee claims and eventual implementation of updates and modifications.
- Follow up on newly designed components on the latest engines in service.
- Coordinating technical cases between customers and Everllence Product Center in Copenhagen.
- Follow up of meetings with licensees, shipyards, ship owners and sub-suppliers and creating minutes of meeting for documentation and follow-up purpose.
- Collaboration with Design and R&D department in Everllence Product Center Copenhagen.
- Reporting events and work status.
- This position requires travelling on domestic and global business trips
You can help us with these qualifications
- University degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
- Detailed understanding of Diesel and Gas engine applications including maintenance, operation and control systems.
- Tier 3 experience is preferred but not mandatory. Necessary training and education are provided.
- Technical knowledge of Diesel engine auxiliaries and electric equipment.
- Approx. 5 -10 years of professional experience in either field service, sailing experience as 1st or Chief engineer, or commissioning engine operation, preferably at engine manufacturers, shipyards and ship owners.
- Strong communication skills (Japanese and English).
- Personal credibility, team player and strong skills in knowledge sharing.
