Bavarian Minister-President visits Everllence in Augsburg

Dr Markus Söder recognizes corporate headquarters as strong industrial hub for future technologies from Bavaria

On July 17, Bavarian Minister-President Dr Markus Söder, visited the Everllence site in Augsburg. Everllence CEO Dr Uwe Lauber, the company’s Executive Board, and Astrid Kluge, Chair of the Group Works Council, welcomed the Minister-President at the company’s newly redesigned PrimeServ Academy.

The training center provides technical training annually to approximately 1,500 customers and service engineers on medium-speed engines, turbochargers, and the handling of alternative fuels. Everllence officially unveiled the expansion of the Academy this past June.

Dr. Markus Söder said: “Where Rudolf Diesel brought his engine to production readiness in 1897, Everllence today manufactures hydrogen engines, large-scale heat pumps, solutions for the energy and industrial transitions, and giant marine engines as big as two shipping containers. This is what modern industry and engineering ‘Made in Bavaria‘ look like. Everllence impressively combines tradition and innovation— with 4,000 employees at its headquarters in Augsburg, 380 apprentices, and outstanding technological achievements worldwide.”

Dr Uwe Lauber said: “We are very pleased to welcome the Bavarian Minister-President to our corporate headquarters in Augsburg. His visit is a strong show of recognition, particularly for our employees that bring technological excellence, industrial strength and Bavarian engineering expertise to work every day. Our Augsburg site combines development, manufacturing, service operations and training at a location with a proud tradition. Augsburg therefore exemplifies the innovative strength and future viability of Everllence, and of mechanical engineering in Bavaria.”
