Everllence expands service business in Southeast Asia

Three long-term service agreements covering planned support for engines at power plant projects in Malaysia

Everllence has signed three long-term service agreements (LTSAs) with the respective project companies of PETRONAS Gas Berhad and its joint venture partners for three power plants in Malaysia. The LTSAs provide for planned spare-parts supply, technical services and service coordination over a ten-year term, supporting the power plants projects as they progress towards commissioning and future operations.

The LTSAs follow after Everllence received an order to supply a total of 20 engines across three locations, with an expected combined installed capacity of approximately 290MW.

The LTSAs form part of Everllence’s technology and service scope in Southeast Asia, covering engine technology, spare parts and long-term support for the respective project companies.

Dr. Michael Filous, Head of PrimeServ Four-Stroke at Everllence, said: “Malaysia is a highly dynamic market, both in terms of industrial development and climate goals. In markets with growing energy demand, predictable maintenance cost and high operational availability are crucial. Our service offerings help customers operate both reliably and economically over decades.”

David Berclaz – Managing Director, Everllence Malaysia – said: “With these agreements, we are strengthening our long-term partnership with PETRONAS Gas Berhad and reinforcing our commitment to supporting their operations in Malaysia. Being close to our customers and understanding their needs locally is key to delivering the right support.”

Gas power plant for LNG production

One of the power plants is being built to provide reliable power supply to an upcoming LNG project in Sipitang, Sabah. For this power plant, the customer has signed a ten-year LTSA for seven Everllence 20V35/44G gas engines. The LTSA is structured as a spare parts contract covering 52,000 operating hours.

Planned support for regional grid projects

Everllence has also secured LTSA for two other power plant projects intended to supply electricity to the regional grid in the state of Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan, respectively. The Sabah project includes six dual-fuel engines of the 18V51/60DF type with an expected total installed capacity of around 100 MW; the Labuan project includes seven engines of the same type deliver with an expected combined installed capacity of around 120 MW.

The LTSAs include planned spare parts supply, technical services and contract management over a term of ten years, where the contract manager acts as the central point of contact for service-related coordination, including logistics, communication and execution planning for commissioning and subsequent operational phases.

Bernd Philipp – Head of Operation & Maintenance Agreements at PrimeServ, Everllence’s global service and after sales brand – said: “With our LTSAs, we support the customer beyond commissioning and create transparency. They enable us to build up targeted resources and expertise on-site from which the customer benefits directly, thus creating a long-term partnership.”
