Position:

The Head of PrimeServ Marine & Power China is responsible for ensuring profitable revenue growth of Service Business in Everllence China. The function leads and manages the teams (Academy, Sales and Sales Support, Dry docking sales, Technical Service and Workshops in several locations) for delivering financial results including Order Intake, Turnover and EBIT by utilizing the headcount and resources available. The function manages all aftersales related activities for Marine & Power in China and in addition commissioning activities related to Propeller and Augsburg produced engines. This also includes new sales of Propeller and PVU.



Responsibilities:

 

  • Regular customer visits (ship owners) with Promotion and Sales team in order to ensure close relation and thereby excellent sales performance for PrimeServ team
  • Work towards achieving UPL business targets for the department
  • Responsible for developing the sales strategy for the domestic ship owners/ship management all over China (including spare parts, services, retrofit) In charge of international ships coming to China for dry docking and port services
  • People Management - Hiring, Developing and retaining the right talent for all teams in Sales and After Sales
  • Together with the Service Managers organize and assign engineers for the onsite jobs. Control utilization rate and overtime.
  • Execute initiatives like team discussions, PrimeServ Care dialogues and compliance and integrity related topics.
  • Trouble shooting when technical problems happen. Being available for the customers when required, also outside of working hours.
  • Ensure the Shanghai Academy runs with good utilization and right courses in demand. Support in getting more internal courses and customer trainings offered at the Academy
  • Compliance and HSEQ – Ensure all employees are aware of and act to the guidelines of MAN Code of Conduct and all other MAN policies and guidelines. Ensure a strong HSEQ culture in the organization and effective control processes are in place
  • Responsible for developing the sales strategy for nuclear plants and power related spare parts and service business in China
  • Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder.
  • Advising other people holding positions at Everllence, subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible.

  • Promotes the Nuclear sub-segment fields of activity and positions Everllence as a “go to” supplier in customer minds for these fields
  • Assesses and develops new business opportunities
  • Identifies and evaluates new market potentials based on customer and market information
  • Provides the relevant market information and evaluations to the sub-segment central organization
  • Based on customer and market information, identifies, evaluates and submits new commercial leads in close cooperation with the sub-segment central organization
  • Identifies and configures required products / services / competences / solutions for the customer (Value Proposition) in close cooperation with the sub-segment central organization
  • Qualifies and develops the leads until they can be handed over to Sales organization
  • Is the sub-segment local face-to-customer : ensures smooth communication with the customer in close cooperation with the Sales manager after handing over, and also during project execution
  • Maintains competitor benchmarks / analysis in close cooperation with Market Intelligence
  • Assesses and compares our business model with partners / competitors / alternative solutions
  • Maintains a continuous optimization of existing business models

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Required Experience: 5-10 years experience in power generation business.

Desired Experience: Background with nuclear power plants, lobbying / interacting within professional associations, network in the nuclear power generation sector, preferred

We can offer you the following tasks

Strategy

  • Identify Market trends, market drivers and unique selling preposition for revamps/footprints in alignment with IGC/Hub FrontEnd Sales team to prioritize markets/customers/products
  • Develop regional strategy for complex projects
  • Monitor and follow-up on strategy implementation actions. Adjust as needed to secure sustainable complex project business.
  • Systematic fleet analysis for standard ”revamps” such as I&C upgrades and barrel revamps etc.
  • Plan and support marketing related activities (roadshow, TurboForum, PRACTICE visits) for complex projects as part of IGC marketing plan

Sales

  • Lead Pre-Bid Phase (identify lead, develop value preposition, budgetary quote, Bid/no-bid decision). First Contact for complex projects queries in the region
  • Provides value based target pricing and challenge cost estimates and performance to ensure positive customer business case (ROI)
  • Authorized and responsible for Go/no-Go and Bid/no-Bid decision in alignment with PC
  • Organizes and supports quotations on local IGC scope (if needed takes lead)
  • Regional coordination between IGC, CoC and PC
  • Funnel managementApproval- and signature competence within the rules and regulations
  • Technical Sales training and guidance of FrontEnd Sales teams in IGC/Hubs

Project Management

  • Oversees the Project Management for complex projects
  • Ensures proper project management set-up with clear DoR between IGC & PC is in place and matches contractual obligations
  • Selects the process to be followed

Requirement

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, Communications or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as an executive assistant or in a similar role supporting C-level executives
  • Professional use of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Fluent in oral and written English

We can offer you the following tasks:

  • Prepare and execute inspections and supervision at licensees and shipyards in Dalian and across China (with potential overseas travel). 
  • Provide technical support for test bed trials, quay trials, sea trials, prototype tests, and warranty claims, including implementation of updates and modifications. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot newly designed components for the latest engines in service. 
  • Coordinate technical cases between Chinese customers and Everllence Headquarters in Copenhagen. 
  • Document meetings with licensees, shipyards, ship owners, and sub-suppliers, ensuring clear follow-up actions. 
  • Support licensees and customers on engine operation matters, including organizing lectures and seminars. 
  • Share service experience and feedback with the head office. 
  • Collaborate with Design and R&D departments at Everllence Headquarters. 
  • Manage daily operations at site offices in coordination with ESC team colleagues.
  • Submit regular reports on work status and events. 
  • Travel domestically and occasionally internationally as required.  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 
  • 5+ years of professional experience in field service, sailing as 1st/Chief Engineer, or commissioning engine operations (experience with engine manufacturers, shipyards, or ship owners preferred). 
  • In-depth knowledge of two-stroke diesel and gas engine applications, including maintenance, operation, and control systems. 
  • Tier 3 experience is preferred but not mandatory (training provided). 
  • Technical knowledge of marine diesel engine auxiliaries and electrical equipment. 
  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken). 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. 
  • Flexibility in work locations and schedules, with a willingness to travel. 
  • Proficiency in computer skills. 
  • Team player with strong knowledge-sharing skills and personal credibility.

Everllence in China

Shanghai

Our headquarters in China, Shanghai is home to multiple business units—from sales and customer support to marine engineering and PrimeServ services. The city’s international outlook and strong infrastructure make it a vibrant and convenient base for Everllence employees. 

Changzhou 

Our manufacturing site in Changzhou specializes in producing compressors, turbines, gear systems, and turbochargers. It is a high-tech facility driving the company’s mechanical excellence in Asia. 

Beijing 

The Beijing office supports new sales and customer services for marine and industrial sectors in Northern China. Its strategic location enhances our service reach across the region. 

Shenzhen

Focused on innovation and customer proximity, our Shenzhen location enables fast, responsive support in the South China region. 

Zhoushan

This location focuses heavily on marine services and after-sales, with proximity to major shipbuilding and repair facilities. 

Dalian & Hangzhou

Both locations are part of our extended service network and ensure we are close to our customers throughout the country.
