Hydrogen compression is the link between production and utilization

Compression is the critical link between hydrogen production and utilization. Green and blue hydrogen are emerging as clean energy carriers and feedstocks for mobility and industry, helping replace carbon-intensive gray hydrogen, which emits up to 10 metric tons of CO2 per metric ton H2 produced. To be utilized, hydrogen must be compressed to match downstream pressure requirements – for pipelines, storage, or when used as feedstock for various applications, in particular for ammonia. Everllence has successfully delivered over 200 compression reference projects using screw and centrifugal compressors tailored to each need. Combined with captured CO2 and CO, compressed hydrogen also enables syngas production for Power-to-X applications like synthetic fuels and plastics.
